This instrument is part of the AI Literacy for Educators research programme that Prashanth Shenoy and Mirka Saarela are leading at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. As part of their research initiative in the Global South, this tool was included in a peer-reviewed research paper and is made freely available to the research community to ensure that targeted, evidence-based training is delivered to educators worldwide. The authors have also proposed the GenAI-TPD framework for integrating generative AI into teacher professional development, available at Discover Education (Springer, 2026) .

About this instrument. AIT3 (AI Train The Teacher) is part of the AI Literacy for Educators research programme led by Prashanth Shenoy and Mirka Saarela at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland. It is grounded in the Technology Acceptance Model (Davis, 1989; Venkatesh & Bala, 2008) and was validated in a study of 44 teachers in Bengaluru, India (Shenoy & Saarela, ICETC 2026). The GenAI-TPD framework that motivates this work is published in Discover Education, Springer (2026) . Supported by the Research Council of Finland (project no. 356314).
